Voters passed Measure BB in November 2014 and collection of the initial half-cent transportation sales tax by the Board of Equalization began on April 1, 2015 and will extend through March 31, 2022. The full one-cent sales tax authorized by Measure BB will begin April 1, 2022 and will extend through March 31, 2045. Starting in July 2015, Alameda CTC began making monthly direct local distribution payments to local jurisdictions and transit agencies, per the 2014 Transportation Expenditure Plan, for the following programs:

• Local Streets and Roads (including county bridges)
• Bicycle and Pedestrian
• Transit
• Paratransit
