Students at more than 150 Alameda County schools participated in International Walk and Roll to School Day on Wednesday by walking, riding, scooting or sharing their ride.
Each year more Alameda County students join the fun and enjoy the benefits of taking a healthy route to school by walking, riding, scooting or sharing their ride on International Walk and Roll to School Day. This year the primary celebration is scheduled for Wednesday, October 4, but several schools will be celebrating on other days in October. Alameda County’s Safe Routes to Schools Program supports this annual event at schools throughout the county to promote active and shared commutes to school.
